५० मेगावाट क्षमताको मर्स्याङ्दी बेसी जलविद्युत आयोजनाले आफ्नो पूरक प्रारम्भिक वातावरणीय परीक्षण (Supplementary IEE) अन्तर्गत प्रभावित क्षेत्रमा पर्ने भौतिक तथा वातावरणीय प्रभावबारे सार्वजनिक सुनुवाई कार्यक्रम सम्पन्न गरेको छ। दिव्यज्योती हाइड्रोपावर लिमिटेडद्वारा प्रवर्द्धित आयोजना बेसीशहर नगरपालिका वडा नं. ६ र १० तथा मर्स्याङ्दी गाउँपालिका वडा नं. ८ र ९ अन्तर्गत मर्स्याङ्दी नदीमा निर्माणाधीन छ।
मर्स्याङ्दी गाउँपालिका–८, सिमलचौरमा आयोजित कार्यक्रममा स्थानीयवासी, जनप्रतिनिधि, राजनीतिक दल, सामुदायिक वनका प्रतिनिधि, प्राविधिक टोली तथा विभिन्न सरोकारवालाको सहभागिता रहेको थियो। केही व्यक्तिले कार्यक्रम अवरुद्ध गर्न खोजे पनि स्थानीय समुदायको सहयोगमा कार्यक्रम सफलतापूर्वक सम्पन्न भएको आयोजकले जनाएको छ।
कम्पनीका सञ्चालक मिलन खड्काले आयोजना यस क्षेत्रको विकास र भविष्यसँग जोडिएको बताउँदै अवरोधका बाबजुद आयोजना निर्माण सम्पन्न हुने बताए। उनले परियोजनाको मुख्य प्रवर्द्धक अपी पावर कम्पनी लिमिटेड रहेको र भविष्यमा दिव्यज्योती हाइड्रोपावरलाई पनि नेपाल स्टक एक्सचेन्जमा सूचीकृत गरी स्थानीयवासी तथा सर्वसाधारणलाई सेयरधनी बनाउने लक्ष्य रहेको जानकारी दिए।
करिब १० अर्ब रुपैयाँ लागत अनुमान गरिएको आयोजनाको EIA २०७४ असोज १ गते स्वीकृत भएको र २०७५ भदौ १० गते विद्युत् खरिद बिक्री सम्झौता (PPA) सम्पन्न भएको छ। आयोजनाले करिब साढे दुई वर्षभित्र व्यावसायिक विद्युत् उत्पादन सुरु गर्ने लक्ष्य राखेको छ र हाल निर्माण कार्य अघि बढिरहेको जनाएको छ।
The 50 MW Marsyangdi Besi Hydropower Project has completed a public hearing under its Supplementary Initial Environmental Examination (Supplementary IEE) to discuss the physical and environmental impacts of the project in the affected areas. Promoted by Divya Jyoti Hydropower Limited, the project is being constructed on the Marsyangdi River within Wards 6 and 10 of Besisahar Municipality and Wards 8 and 9 of Marsyangdi Rural Municipality.
The public hearing, held at Simalchaur in Marsyangdi Rural Municipality–8, was attended by local residents, elected representatives, political party representatives, community forest representatives, the project’s technical team, and other stakeholders. Although some individuals attempted to disrupt the event, the organizer stated that it was successfully completed with the positive support of the local community.
Company Director Milan Khadka said the project is closely linked to the development and future of the region and emphasized that construction would continue despite opposition. He also stated that Api Power Company Limited is the main promoter of Divya Jyoti Hydropower Limited. The company plans to list Divya Jyoti Hydropower on the Nepal Stock Exchange in the future, allowing the general public, particularly local residents, to become shareholders.
The project is estimated to cost approximately NPR 10 billion. Its Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) was approved on 1 Ashoj 2074, while the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) was completed on 10 Bhadra 2075. The project aims to begin commercial electricity generation within approximately two and a half years, and construction work is currently underway.
